The Fintech Log
AI Disclosure

'The Fintech Log' uses artificial intelligence throughout our editorial process, from research and writing to the illustrations that accompany each story. We believe readers deserve to know exactly how their news is made, so this page explains our process in plain terms.

How our articles are created
  1. Source identification. Our system identifies notable fintech developments from publicly available news, company announcements, regulatory filings, and other public sources.
  2. Summarization. An AI language model reads the available source material and produces a written summary — a headline, a short description, and a full article body — grounded in that source material and written in 'The Fintech Log''s editorial style.
  3. Image generation. A separate AI process identifies a single visual concept representing the story and generates an original illustration. No photographs of real people or events are used; all imagery is synthetically generated and symbolic rather than documentary.
  4. Publication. The resulting article and image are published under the relevant category, without individual manual review of each piece prior to publication.

What this means for accuracy

AI-generated content is a powerful tool, but it is not infallible. Language models can occasionally:

  • Misinterpret or oversimplify source material
  • State information with more confidence than the underlying evidence supports
  • Miss important context a human reporter might catch
  • In rare cases, generate details that are not accurate

We take steps to reduce these risks, including grounding our summaries in specific source material rather than open-ended generation. Even so, we cannot guarantee that every fact, figure, or quote in every article is completely error-free. Treat our coverage as a helpful starting point, and verify figures related to funding amounts, valuations, or regulatory specifics against primary sources before relying on them for any decision.

What our images represent

Every image on 'The Fintech Log' is an AI-generated illustration created specifically for that article. These images are symbolic and editorial — they are not photographs, they do not depict real events as they occurred, and they should not be interpreted as literal documentation of any story. No image on this site depicts a real, identifiable person.

Human oversight

People build, configure, and monitor 'The Fintech Log''s editorial pipeline. We set the standards our AI systems follow, review system output on an ongoing basis, and handle correction requests when content is flagged as inaccurate. This oversight happens at the system level rather than as manual review of each individual article before it publishes.
